18 bathrooms ain’t it.
Imagine that water bill!
What’s up, friends?
There’s excess. There’s greed. Then there’s 18 bathrooms in one home. And a private lazy river.
Today’s 2006 estate is located in Beverly Hills -and it’s ACTUALLY in the hills. Because, with a pricetag shy of $50 million, it’s gotta be a view, and have a view:

Of the 41 listing photos, most of them are of the home’s exterior and outdoor space. This feels like a red flag, given that there’s 9 bedrooms AND 18 bathrooms. Luckily, with the property’s 21,000 square feet on a 3.6 acre lot, there is a lot to explore.

Starting in the kitchen is purposeful today. This is the tamest room in the entire house. And you could argue that the hanging of the pots is artistic (or odd).

Woodwork is the theme of this living room. It’s not very prevalent elsewhere in this home, but it’s stunning here. Off topic, but… is that a giant fish tank?

Am I correct to assume that you’ve picked up on the general vibe of this home? It’s a bit unconventional compared to other luxury homes… because this one has a cohesive yet eccentric style, personality, and (probably) a very high electricity bill.
Here’s an ode to some of its arches (and a peek at the wine cellar!):

As we explore this home, it’s feeling less like a home. I’m getting an art museum vibe with all the exquisite individual pieces that are surrounded by unique, eye-catching architecture.
Like this staircase, for example:

As the stairs curve upward, they’re lit by a dragon egg-like chandelier suspended from an amber dome in the ceiling. From each angle, the light fixture gets more depth, intrigue, and… wait, we’re still just in a HOUSE? Huh?

Bedrooms are not something this home lacks in quantity. But photos of those bedrooms… well, folks, I can only show you one today because only one of the eight bedrooms was photographed. Odd.
Regardless of the listing practices, this is objectively gorgeous. I love how the shades of brown bring a cozy feel -and a nice contrast to the bright outdoors that are only steps away.

To the surprise of nobody, there’s an equally gorgeous bathroom suite. The open shower, bathtub view, and ottoman are great touches -but my personal favorite is the archway detailing.

Maybe it’s raining in California (which is rare), but you still need to entertain guests. What would you do in this home?

Watch a movie in your home theater -that’s been decorated to resemble an opera house!

Cocktail hour at the nearby bar would be perfect before a pool and poker tournament.

Let’s take a moment to recognize how even the layout of this home is artwork itself:

Outside, we are introduced to an infinity pool that cascades into the chic lawn of greenery and stonework.

Make sure you’re not confusing that falling water for the actual waterfall that is over the pool!

I’ve called other homes’ pools “resorts” before… but this one takes the cake. Heck, there’s a line of lounge chairs, tropical trees lining the water features, and a lazy river that nearly spans the length of the home.

You’ve got everything in this home! What’s one final thing to take it over the edge…

This view is stunning -and I wonder how many of the 18 bathrooms you can see it from.
