Church Pew Movie Theater

Wafers instead of popcorn, though.

What’s up, friends?

So you’re thinking of moving into a church? You likely want to know what to expect. Today, I got you.

Built in 1911 (but remodeled since), this Kansas-based, 2-bed, 3-bath home boasts over 9,400 sq. feet. While the exterior still resembles what it once was… the inside slightly still does as well. With a few abstract changes.

I’ll begin with your most glaring question: what did they do to the pulpit? It’s a movie theatre now.

Watch your family films from the comfort of your own pews!

This lavish living space is perfect for entertaining. The dark wood against white walls does date the space, though, also creating the perfect homey environment.

By far the most mesmerizing space of this entire home has to be the office. With the dark wood built-ins that frame the stained glass, the colorful pop of books, and period-fitting sculptures, studious behaviors are to thrive here, for sure!

For such a spacious -and remodeled- home, why choose to put in two small kitchens, instead of one large one? I understand that there are only two bedrooms, but, huh? Are you supposed to have all this space to entertain, and not easily entertain?

Some people relate their toilet to a throne. In this home, they emphasize that royal seat with intricate see-through artistry:

Stained-glass in the bathrooms adds to the calming appeal of the space already. Even better, the original tiling has a chic contrast to the also-dated window styling. What an almost-eclectic home!

Please note that I said eclectic and not memorable. Because the home is definitely 1990s bland yet unique enough to stand out.

Picture this: a tiled room with a carpeted center.

Did you imagine it being another pool table surrounded by a sea of workout machines? Me neither.

Outdoors, the fenced-in grassy area gives you a smidge of space to relax. At least, the open concrete slab gives you a stable ground to pop a grill onto.

Finally, does this property include a backyard? No, but it has something even better…

A blacktop parking lot! How lucky you are for this built-in pay-to-park side hustle. And, from all the extra cash, you could make that darn kitchen bigger.
