Millenial grey could NEVER
Especially when it’s of “The Lost Generation”
What’s up, friends?
With Valentine’s Day behind us, and February’s in full effect, the colorful spirit of the month has come to me, and I crave some vibrance. So today, we’ve traveled somewhere unexpected… a 1896 home with a Queen Anne style, and no drab “millennial grey” in sight:

Located in Astoria, OR, this quaint (yet vibrant) property has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a $450k price tag. Squaring in at 1,000 sqft, the land it’s on is only 6% of an acre at 2,613.6 sqft.

Even up close there’s more details of color to notice: the navy trim on the porch and windows, the stained glass door, and the characteristic homes of the neighborhood.

Wow… this is awesome! Right away, the purple stairs grab your attention and welcome you in. This cozy living room feels a bit dated… but the colors, patterns, and shapes of the furniture all make up for that.

Something that’s a clear theme of this place is the details. Yes, there’s unique bold features, but there’s also little things that pack the same punch -like the backsplash, stained glass window, and plaid seat cushions.

Just one step away from the kitchen is the first of two bathrooms in this home. With the lack of a door, it almost looks like it’s an extension of the kitchen… which is gross.

Well, there’s only two bedrooms in this modest home, so let’s check out the other one while we’re at it!

Upstairs, this other bathroom is… just as unnotable. Even worse… it’s not attached to either bedroom up here. We can at least check out how people sleep up here…

Lots of charm! That’s my first thought. It even looks like the original doors are still in their frame. And, once again, the view outside is stellar.

Down the hall, the secondary bedroom also has a lot of character: the purple hues, draped doors, and cozy shape. All in all, these bedrooms rock.
One more thing while we’re still upstairs… this unique ½-floor attic! Take a look at the pentagon window, workspace, and the (can’t miss) cloud ceilings:

Enough of the “standard” rooms! Let’s take a trip downstairs to the entertainment spaces…

It’s the music room! We’ve got plenty of instruments to make some creative tunes… but what’s that? Stairs to a basement?

Welcome to the best part of the home: the basement. It’s small but mighty: a full couch, huge TV, a plant room, and just great vibes all around.

Remember I mentioned the importance of the details on this property? Well, as we move outside, that’s evident all over again.

From above, not only is this the best-trimmed yard, but it’s also the cutest. And that’s important.

There’s nothing like a cute little house to make you happy. Have a great week everyone!
