Pride Month means rainbows. And color-blocking every room.

This June‘s got no gloom.

What’s up, friends?

June is here and Pride Month has begun! In the spirit of LGBTQ pride, I’ve chosen to start this month with a house that bears a resemblance to the rainbow colors of the Pride flag…

But through some intense color blocking.

Built in 2002, this 2-bed, 4-bath, California home has more parking spots and driveway length than space indoors. From the entrance, you get an idea of what’s to come: bold colors, a bit of artistic flair, and some very large windows.

For each space, I’ll give you a chance to guess what color it’ll be…

Living rooms are… YELLOW!

Floor to ceiling windows have met their match. These are stunningly framing the space with a hint of blue light against the red accents… and obviously YELLOW everywhere.

Kitchens are… BLUE!

It’s such a perfect shade for a space of this function; Not only does it provide a bright and unique interest to a kitchen, but will bring productive and calm qualities to cooking -according to color theory!

A circular island is like a matching puzzle piece next to the curved countertops. This all flows together gorgeously.

Primary bedrooms are… YELLOW! Certainly, this is not a color for everyone, but I think it works here. With the huge windows for ambiance and sunlight, and the black accent from the rug and throw pillows, a cohesive stylish room has been put together.

En-suites are… WHITE! Which does make sense, as you want a bathroom to appeal clean, simple, and a space to highlight the beauty within (you) and around (outside the windows).

Although “boring” compared to the rest of the home, it does bring in some brown cabinetry, yellow rug, and a bold, red vanity chair.

Offices are… GREY! And RED!

Well folks, they’ve officially lost their own theme.

Truthfully, I think the owners just repurposed one of the bedrooms into an office.

Home gyms are… YELLOW?

I viscerally hate this. And I’m not even going to reference color theory to give them the benefit-of-the-doubt. I just hate the idea of getting energized by a workout in a YELLOW room with MINIMAL natural lighting. If anything, it makes me want to vomit. No thank you.

Outside the home, the glorious views and architectural angles continue. If you haven’t noticed yet, there’s plenty of sculptures across the property to add pops of artistry and color.

While the shape of the grassy yard is fitting and cool, it does make me giggle. Like, you’re telling me the homeowners are just cutting the grass that’s there? Yeah, that makes sense. But it’s also just hilarious to think about autumn when the wild-grass dies but this random patch of the home’s yard is on life-support to stay green.

And if the natural beauty of the waves doesn’t fulfill you… I don’t know what to tell you.

I wish you all a great Pride Month and I’ll see you next week with another eccentric home!
