Retractable ceiling for Santa’s ease
Chimneys are outdated, anyway.
What’s up, friends?
Santa Claus might be coming to town, but how’s he going to get into your home? Your front door is locked, your chimney is tiny, and Ozempic isn’t available in the North Pole yet.
Don’t worry, because this California home has the perfect, widely accessible entrance for that jolly old man…

Built in 2019, this Bay Area property is a 5-bed, 5.5-bath, 5-car garage-having $21 million dollar slice of quiet luxury. Not only are the rows of foliage and stones nice to look at, but they’re a natural landing strip for Ole Saint Nick.

Walking up to the home, you’ll get to travel over this partial-moat that lines the entryway with a beautiful elegance.
But Santa’s got another way in:

The ceiling is fully retractable. Given the Bay Area’s mostly warm weather, this feature would be great for a breeze in summertime. But, during the holiday season, this hole-in-the-ceiling can be a lofty overheard entrance for Santa.

Once he lands in this home, he’ll notice more sleek design work with the dining table, round chairs, and general open concept.

Streamlined with flat grey accents, this kitchen is… well, underwhelming. With an over $20 million price tag and excellent craftsmanship, you’d think this place would be a bit more grandiose.
But, for Santa’s purposes, the way those barstools tuck neatly underneath the island is perfect for navigating to the tree.

Enough lounging ad. Where will you be, as that big man flies around the skies?

If you’re lucky, and still awake when Santa arrives, from your bedroom window, you’ll get a nice view of the reindeer munching on your grass.

Outdoor access via the floor-to-ceiling window-door next to the bathtub?! This would be ideal for a quick reindeer wash.

In the other various bedrooms, the views are equally as large and gorgeous. Luckily, one of them is clearly distinguished as a “kid’s room” because of the toy donkey -that totally doesn’t blend into the bland greys.
If Santa needs a little break, what are the amenities that he can stop by?

Well, there’s two offices -one with an eclectic view, and one other an eclectic shelf.

Evidence of Santa’s last trip can be found in this recreational space: a full golf simulator and pilates home gym. And, if he provided it, I can assume he likes it.

Maybe the reindeer need a place to relax (obviously, outside because they’re animals)… the covered patio space has another long dining table that overlooks the backyard.
Typically, I’d call this semi-above ground pool a bit tacky -like PICK if you want in or out of the ground!! But, for this property, the slightly-ajar pool feels like an artistic choice to pair with the rest of the home. It spans nearly the width of the house, and is like a private getaway amongst nature.

Make sure you leave Santa a note to close the roof before he leaves. You wouldn’t want to wake up on Christmas morning with a new pet goose… unless that’s what you wanted?
Happy Holidays from all of us at Estate :D
