Your guests can sleep outside.

They’ll be one with the trees, in the trees.

What’s up, friends?

We’re officially knee-deep in April, and today’s home might feel like a joke, but it’s not!

Built in 1991, this house has a grand acreage around it, a matching exterior, and a guest house… that’s worth waiting for. Trust me.

Located in Arlington, WA, this 3-bed, 5-bath property had a price tag of $1.75 million. While that price seems odd for only 3 bedrooms, it’s validated by the 3.6k sqft. of livable space and 5 private acres of land.

Drive through forest, as it sets the scene for this nature-located home. It’s woodsy and greenery make us hope for an interior with the same natural vibe…

Well, it is natural. And by natural I mean bare.

Did the world just turn upside down? Because the exterior of this place is a colorful wonder, while the interior is vacant of pizzazz. Yeah, you get the grand staircase in the entryway, and the pop of green carpet (which is a conversation of its own), but… the rest is lackluster. The evidence before us tells the story of a “home for sale,” where no furniture is dressed to sell it. Yet, as you’ll see later, that isn’t 100% true…

At least we know it’s been vacuumed.

For over a million dollars, I’d expect more from this kitchen. It has everything you need: floor-to-ceiling cabinets, an island with the oven, dark granite countertops, a large window that wraps into the ceiling, and an empty space for a refrigerator -if you choose to buy one.

I’ll be so kind and spare you the other boring, empty parts of this home. Instead, we’ll head to the bedrooms for a treat…

Just kidding! The bedroom is just as bare as the rest of this place -BUT, reminder, it does get better once we get outside!

It would be a lie if I said the bedroom and attached closet spaces were uninspired. The length and grand ceiling of the bedroom gather at a nice bay window. And, despite their lack of clothes, the closets provide bountiful options of space to store your wardrobe.

In the private en-suite bathroom, there’s an aesthetic you don’t see much anymore: one of another time, but with much charm. I love the slant of the bathtub and the shower’s glass brick wall! Beautiful.

Outside, we’re immediately immersed in the greenery of the trees, grass, and even a light pole.

Through the pathways of the backyard, we arrive at two treehouse cottages:

Compared to the main house, these appear like fairytale homes we’ve just happened to stumble upon in the forest. Given it’s the guest home, it honestly provides way more whimsy than a furnished version of the main house ever could.

Is there room for a couch? No, but who needs one when the entire space is cozy?! The living room has two seats nearby a woodsy fireplace. There’s a mini fridge, cabinets, and microwave space to snack your way through this humble getaway.

Climb up the ladder to the bedroom: nestled below the A-frame roof, there’s a bedroom perfect for snuggling up. And the bathroom… it’s kinda epic with the slanted window, rocky countertop, and a stonewall, lantern-lit shower.

This is the experience I thought we were gonna get at the primary house. Better late than never!

Surprise, we’re not done just yet!! There’s also an entire indoor pool:

Why did I decide to shock you with the pool at the end? Well, the listing for this place only briefly mentioned it, and there’s only this singular photo. For something so impressive (i.e an in-ground indoor pool, jacuzzi, and lounge space), you’d think it would be a bigger selling point for this place.

If you like the forest, maybe this house is for you. And if you only kinda like forest, maybe see if you can rent the guest house on Airbnb.
